Markina-Xemeingo Zaragi-Dantza

This Bizkaian version of Zagi Dantza or Wineskin dance. It is traditionally performed on the Sunday of Carnival. The dancers are accompanied by the Hartza (bear), a typical character of carnival in the Basque Country. They collect foodstuffs and money in a tradition known as puska biltzea.
