Jaialdi 2020 Tickets Now On Sale

The largest US Basque festival that takes place every five years, Jaialdi begins on July 28, 2020 and runs through August 2, 2020. If you are planning on attending, tickets are now on sale for Thursday’s Sports Night, Friday’s Festara and Saturday night’s dance. These go fast, so don’t wait! Bertsolari Special Tribute

The North American Basque Organizations (NABO) will honor the US based Bertsolaris for their generous contributions to our Basque community over the years on March 14, 2020 at a special tribute event. The event, beginning at 4pm at the San Francisco Basque Cultural Center, will consist of a 75-minute Bertso Saioa featuring the four active US Bertsolaris, along with two from the Basque Country, Sebastian Lizaso and Aitor Mendiluze. NABO is excited and honored as well to have Xabi Paya, renowned Bertsolari in his own right, attend to provide simultaneous English translations of the Bertsos. An aperitif will follow the Bertso Saioa at 6pm, with dinner at 7pm. Udaleku 2020 Aide Applications Available

This year’s NABO Udaleku will be hosted by the Basque Club of Utah June 21st through July 3rd at St. Vincent’s Holy Family Hall. As always, camp intent to participate forms will be made available on March 1st at 6pm (PST), however, Udaleku Aide applications are now open. To apply to be an aide, you must be 16 years old and/or an incoming junior in high school; you will also be required to complete the Red Cross First Aid Certification if chosen.
