CBS Press presents My Mama Marie
Our friends at the Center for Basque Studies Press are pleased to present My Mama Marie by Joan Errea. This story was originally written by a woman wishing to transmit the family story to her grandson but evolves into so much more. The story is about Marie Jeanne Paris nee Goyhenetche who was born in Banca, Behe Nafarroa, and immigrated to Currie, Nevada where she would meet her husband Arnaud Paris. Written by Marie's daughter, the book shares the incredible challenges faced by her mother, but also some of her own childhood stories of living on the ranch and adventures in one-room schoolhouses. It also includes a collection of Marie's recipes. For more information on the book or to order a copy please visit the CBS book store.
