N.A.B.O. joins the initiative to create a .EUS web extension, making it possible to have a distinctive domain on the internet where we now find many a Basque. For more information click on http://www.puntueus.org/en/

The Association PuntuEus is non-partisan and is non-governmental. It has been created by EiTB, the Basque Public TV and Radio, UPV-EHU, the Basque Public University etc... You can go to their website to show your support at http://www.puntueus.org/en/
There is an opportunity coming (deadline April 12, 2012) to apply for a new web address ending with .eus Coordinating this effort is the Community of the Basque Language and Culture [CBLC].
The CBLC is a dynamic and committed worldwide community, that adds up to seven million people in all. Based on the desire to strengthen the community, our language and culture, we decided to apply for the .EUS domain in the new process that ICANN is going to open before long. We strongly believe .EUS is a really effective tool, on the one hand, to intensify the presence of the Basque language on the Internet and, on the other hand, to identify contents related to the Basque Culture. So, for example euskaldiaspora.com could become euskaldiaspora.eus. Having our own domain gives uniformity and a strong presence online for homeland as well as for Diaspora associations.
