Utah Club and Triskalariak to Pariticipate in Carmelite Fair

Carmelite FairOnce again the Basque Club of Utah and the Utah’ko Trikalariak will participate in this year’s Carmelite Fair, Sunday September 20th from 11am-5pm at the Carmelite Monastery. This event is an annual fundraiser for the Carmelite nuns in Holladay, Utah which has enjoyed the support of the local Basque community for years. The fair includes dancers from around the world, a live auction, food and drinks, games, rides, and giveaways. Don’t miss out on the club’s chorizo booth, while the dancers provide entertainment. All proceeds will go to the nuns, as this is their main source of income. For more information, or a schedule of events, click here.

Iparreko IbarraIparreko Ibarra Besta and NABO Meeting

The Iparreko Ibarra 22nd Annual Besta is right around the corner. This event also coincides with the NABO Fall Meeting and 2026 Kantari Eguna. The event will take place on Saturday, October 10th, and will include a Mus Tournament that morning. If you would like to play Mus, please email Danielle Negueloua, ASAP. This is not a NABO Qualifying Mus tournament, and they hope to have everything wrapped up for folks to enjoy the afternoon’s events. Basque Pavilion at Reno Tahoe International Art Show

RTI ArtOnce again, the Reno Tahoe International Art Show will feature a Basque pavilion September 17th-20th. If you are in the area, stop by and enjoy exhibits by seven Basque artists, both local and visitors from the Basque Country. Reno Zazpia Bat Fall Picnic

Reno Zazpiak BatPlease join the Zazpiak Bat Basque Club in Reno for its Fall Picnic, this Sunday, September 20th at the Plaza Pavilion at Bartley Ranch. The day will begin at 11:30, with lunch being served around 12:30pm. Cost of the lunch is $20, with an RSVP, and includes chorizo sandwiches, beans, salad, cheese, and wine. The afternoon will be filled with comradery, Mus, and children’s games, as well as a Tortilla de Patata contest.
