BEO Music Program and Last Call for Book Entries
Mark your calendars — and start making your plans for an event you don't want to miss! On September 26th, the BEO is presenting The History of Basque Music: A Living Portrait of an Ancient Land at the Presidio Theatre in San Francisco — a one-night-only documentary-style concert featuring pianist Josu Okiñena, txistulari Garikoitz Mendizabal, and soprano Noelia Ibáñez, direct from the Basque Country. This is a West Coast exclusive, and it won't come around again. We're working on hotel discounts for those traveling in, so start planning now. Learn more here or get your tickets here today.
The Impact of Women | Third Edition — Last Call
We said it before, and we mean it: you know someone who belongs in this book. If you've been thinking about it, now is the time. September 15 is the final deadline for submissions to the third edition of The Impact of Women in Basque Communities — and we don't want to close the book without her story in it. A page. A photo. A woman whose impact deserves to be recorded. That's all it takes.
We're not just collecting names — we're building a record of the women who shaped our communities, from Boise to Bilbao, Chino to Bakersfield, and everywhere in between. Don't let her story be the one that almost made it in.→ Submit now at basqueeducational.org.
Final deadline: September 15, 2026.
