Colorado Euskal Etxea Picnic Date Change
The Colorado Euskal Etxea would like to alert everyone to a date and venue change for its annual Summer Picnic. The event will now be held on August 29th from 11am-6pm at the Robert F. Clement Park in Littleton, Colorado. The festivities will begin with a NABO Qualifying Mus Tournament beginning at 8:30am. Cost to play is $60 which includes breakfast and lunch. If you would like to register, email Mayi Petracek. The afternoon will be full of great food, traditional Basque dancing by the Mennditarrak Dance Group, kids’ games and live music by Jean Flesher. Basque WWII Veterans Memorial Location Plaque Unveiling
N.A.B.O.'s National Basque WWII Veterans Memorial Committee would like to invite you to join them as they unveil a plaque marking the future location of the monument in Heritage Park — a meaningful first step toward honoring the Basque veterans who served. Members of the Town of Gardnerville board will be in attendance, so this is also a wonderful opportunity to show Basque support in front of the local leaders and the Mendiko Euskaldun Cluba.

Please come show your support as we celebrate this important step in our community's history. Later in the evening, the city of Gardnerville will also present the Ortzaize Sister City Plaque to the Menidko Euskaldun Cluba at the JT Basque Restaurant just before the dancers perform. Two very proud moments for this community! All are welcome, and bring family and friends.
Mendiko Euskaldun Cluba Annual Picnic
The Mendiko Euskaldun Cluba will host its annual picnic this Saturday, August 8th at the CVIC Hall in Minden. The festivities will begin with mass celebrated by Aita Antton at 10:30am with the participation of a mixed-club Klika, and the Mendiko Euskaldun Cluba dancers. After mass, lunch will be served at 1pm followed by dance performances by the local dancers as well as Reno’s Zazpiak Bat Basque Dancers. There will be an Aizkolari and Harri Jasotzaile exhibition following, and the evening will conclude with a public dance to the music of the Etchechury’s and Jean Flesher.
