BEO Coffee Table Book and Art/Design Contest
The BEO is preparing the third edition of its coffee-table book celebrating the women who have shaped our lives and communities — and they want to include yours.
Whether she’s a mother, grandmother, friend, or someone who simply chose you and you chose them back, she deserves a page. Submit a photo and a few words — a story, a memory, a recipe, or a poem — and they will handle the rest. Writing help is available if you need it. Early-bird pricing is now in effect: $105 per page through July 1, rising to $115 through August 15, and $125 through the final deadline of September 15, 2026. Books are scheduled to ship by the holidays. Learn more and submit at basqueeducational.org.
Do you have an artistic eye and a connection to Basque culture? The BEO is looking for an original image inspired by Basque music—rooted in classical tradition and interpreted through your own creative lens. Think beyond the notes: They are looking for work that captures the feeling, movement, memory, and cultural depth behind Basque musical
expression. Abstract, illustrative, graphic — all approaches welcome. No AI-generated work, please. The selected artist receives a $750 award, complimentary merchandise, and two tickets to both the pre-event reception and Basque Cultural Day on September 26th. Artists retain ownership of their work. Submissions are due July 15, 2026. Full details and submission form at basqueeducational.org
