BEO to Screen Lurdes Iriondo Film

Lurdes IriondoJoin our friends at the BEO tomorrow, Friday, June 5th, at the Basque Cultural Center at 7:30pm for the next installment of the Basque Film Series with Lurdes Iriondo, ez gera alferrik pasako (Lurdes Iriondo, We Will Not Have Lived in Vain), a special film that pays tribute to a key figure in the recent history of the Basque Country. Through an intimate yet resolute approach, the filmmakers highlight the life and legacy of Lurdes Iriondo — a pioneer of Basque-language music and a symbol of cultural resistance. A singer frozen in old black and white photos. Forever young. Encapsulated. Trapped in the frame, just like her voice on her vinyl records. The film is 72 minutes long in Euskara with English subtitles. Admission is free.
