Children of Guernica Nearing Completion
Begoña Echeverria sent us exciting news. The film "Children of Guernica" by herself, Annika Speer and Jacqueline Postajian is almost ready to go but they need your help. Begoña told us that she has seen a rough cut of the film so far, and that it looks great, but she wants you to decide on your own, so here's the link to the trailer. The film is based on Begoña's play "Picasso Presents Gernika," which premiered at Chino Community Theatre in May 2019, and was also performed at United Nations Headquarters in New York City, in honor of World Refugee Day. Numerous Basque clubs and organizations also hosted screenings of the staged reading. The play and the film are inspired by the true story of a Basque refugee who escaped the bombing of Gernika by emigrating to England. To help make this film a reality, please consider making a tax-deductible donation to help complete filming and post-production. For more information about the film and ways to give, follow this link. "I appreciate any contribution you can make. See you on the red carpet!" Begoña concluded.
