Kokein Tour in Full Swing
Please join the Basque Cultural Center this Saturday, March 28th for the final performance of the Basque rock band Kokein. The concert is free and open to the pubic and starts at 9pm at the Center’s Gernika Room. Kokein, kicked off their U.S. tour this past weekend with two intimate and personal acoustic performances in Southern California at the Kern County Basque Club and at the Chino Basque Club. They started their trademark full electric performance last night at the TreeFort Music Fest in Boise at the outdoor venue at Boise Brew. They play again tonight in Boise at the Basque Center ($20 cash at the door – 7:50pm MT) and then complete their tour at the Basque Cultural Center. To learn more about this group, click here.

BEO Mus Tournament
The Basque Educational Organization is hosting a NABO Qualifying Mus Tournament on April 12th at the Basque Cultural Center. Registration will begin at 7:30am with play beginning promptly at 8am. Cost to play is $40 per person, and lunch will be available for purchase. For more information, or to register, click here.
Gooding Basque Association Mus Tournament
The Gooding Basque Association is also holding its NABO Qualifying Mus Tournament this Saturday, March 28th. Registration will begin at 8am with play beginning at 9. You must be a club member to participate. Dues are $25 or $20(62+), and cost to play is $40 per person, which includes lunch. For more information, visit them on Facebook.
Reno Zazpiak Bat Mus Tournament and Potluck
Please join Reno’s Zazpiak Bat Basque Club this Saturday, March 28th for its annual NABO Qualifying Mus Tournament and Potluck at the American Legion Hall (877 Ralston Street, Reno 89503). Mus registration will begin at 8am with games beginning at 9am. Cost to participate is $40 per player which includes morning coffee, pastries, and lunch. You must be a club member to play, and membership is also payable at the door. The potluck festivities will begin at 11am with lunch served at 12:30pm. The afternoon will include games for all ages, and a performance by the adult Zazpiak Bat dancers, as well as a silent auction. Please bring a dish to share or pay $20, also the cost for non-members.
