Basque Diaspora Day in Utah
Please join the Basque Club of Utah on Monday, September 8th from 6pm-10pm for its annual Diaspora Day Celebration. The event will take place at the Murray Park Pavilion #1 and will include dinner and dancing. The club will provide chorizos, sodas and attendees are asked to bring a side dish, salad, or dessert for 8-10 people. Colorad Euskal Etxea Annual Picnic
Don’t forget that our friends at the Colorado Euskal Etxea are hosting their annual picnic on September 13th, along with the first 2026 NABO Qualifying Mus Tournament. As we enter September and fall and typically the end of the picnics for the year, there is still one more celebration in Denver on September 13th. See the attached flier for details. Basque Diaspora Day Invitation
Monday September 8th marks the Day of the Basque Diaspora. As previously reported, the Basque Government will host an official event commemorating the day at the Markina-Xemein Pilota court to recognize the contribution of Jai-Alai players as ambassadors of Euskadi. The Director of the Basque Community Abroad, Ziortza Olano Astigarraga invites everyone to attend the event as members of the Basque Diaspora. The official invitation follows.
Santa Rosa Basque Club Picnic
The Santa Rosa Basque Club in Paradise Valley, is hosting its annual picnic this Saturday, September 6th at the Paradise Valley Firemen’s Park. The festivities will begin with mass at noon celebrated by Aita Antton followed by the festival kickoff at 1pm. Mass will not be livestreamed but will be recorded for viewing on Monday or Tuesday on the Artzai Ona Facebook page. The afternoon will include Basque dancers from Elko and Winnemucca, music, weightlifting and woodchopping exhibitions, Paella, Basco Burgers, chorizos as well as your favorite beverages.
