Bulego To Play Free Concert at Basque Cultural Center
One of the most popular pop rock bands in the Basque Country, Bulego will perform a free concert on Saturday night, March 22nd at the Basque Cultural Center. The event will begin at 9:00pm and is just one stop on their intensive tour through several Basque communities. Lunch, Bertsolariak, and Bulego in Chino
Please join the Chino Basque Club for lunch this Sunday, March 23rd beginning at noon. The lunch menu features bacalao and pork and costs $30 for adults and $10 for children. This month’s lunch also includes a treat from the Basque Country with Bertsolaris performing after lunch. Fresno Basque Club Anniversay Lunch and Mini Mus
The Fresno Basque Club invites everyone to celebrate its anniversary this weekend, on March 22nd at the Santa Fe Basque Restaurant with lunch and a Mini Mus Tournament. Tournament registration begins at 7:30am with play beginning at 8:30am and cost to participate is $20 per player. This lunch is free for paid up members, and non-members will pay $35.00. Gooding Basque Association Mus Tournament
The Gooding Basque Association will hold its annual NABO Qualifying Mus Tournament this Saturday, March 22nd. Registration will begin at 8:00am followed by tournament play at 9:00am. You must be a club member to participate, and dues are payable at the door along with the Mus fee of $15. Club dues for everyone under the age of 62 are $25 and $20 for those over that age. Bertso Saioa in Honor of Johnny Curutchet
On Saturday, March 22nd, NABO and the San Francisco Basque Club will honor Johnny Curutchet with a Bertsolari Saioa at the Basque Cultural Center. The event will begin with lunch at 12:30pm followed by the Bertsolari performance featuring bertsolaris from the Basque Country as well as the US. The Bertsolari Saioa will begin around 2:45pm if you would like to attend that portion of the festivities, and it will also be livestreamed here. Basque WWII Memorial Seeking Home
Have you thought about hosting the World War II Basque Memorial in your community? If so, this is your chance. The North American Basque Organizations’ (N.A.B.O.) Basques in World War II Special Committee has opened a call for proposals among NABO’s member clubs to host the future memorial intended to permanently remember and honor our Basque WWII veterans.
