Running of the Bars
Please join our friends at the Basque Museum and Cultural Center for this year’s Running of the Bars, on Saturday, July 13th from 5:00-10:00pm.� Everyone will gather on the Basque Block and then travel to the Basque Center, Leku Ona, Grainey’s, Cactus, Whiskey Bar, and Silly Birch, with a variety of activities at each stop for everyone to participate in.� The group will then return to the Basque Block for dancing, and more food and drinks. Pilota Camps in Boise
The Basque Museum and Cultural Center is also hosting two Pilota Camps, July 16-19, and July 22-25th giving our youth the opportunity to train with instructors from the World Pilota Association. Each camp is split into two sessions for different age groups, 9am-11am for kids between the ages of 8 and 11, and 11:30am-1:30pm for those between the ages of 12-16. Gaztemundu 2024
The call for applications for Gaztemundu 2024 has now been published in the Official Bulletin of the Basque Country.� Gaztemundu, the program aimed at youth from all over the world between the ages of 18-35, will take place September 15-29, 2024, in the Basque Country. This year'��s theme is Basque dance and there are only 15 spots available so don’t hesitate to apply.� Eligible participants must be between the ages of 18-35, live outside of the Autonomous Basque Community, be a member of an officially registered Basque club, and have completed a study on this year’s theme.
