NABO Participates in Continuous Reading of Kirmen Uribe Work
Every year, the Etxepare Basque Institute in collaboration with the Euskara Munduan Program
hosts a continuous reading of a Basque literature work. As such, Basque students and
instructors are invited from around the world to participate. This year, the work chosen was
Kirmen Uribe's Bilbao-New York-Bilbao, and students in Boise, Montreal and our own NABO
Euskara Coordinator, Edurne Arostegui, participated from her hometown of St. Helena. Here
are the videos of their contributions. Biba ziek!
NABO Youth Programs in Full Swing
As you already know, both of NABO's youth programs are running simultaneously this year.
This week Udaleku will wrap up in San Francisco, while the Ateak Ireki participants are just
getting started in Goierri, Gipuzkoa. Udaleku is aimed at kids between the ages of 10-15, while
Ateak Ireki is for those between the ages of 16-25, both striving to bring our youth closer to their Basque heritage. Thanks to NABO President, Jean Flesher, you can enjoy many photos and videos from both programs on his Facebook and Instagram pages. Mila esker Jean!
