Bardenay Fundraiser for Boiseko Ikastola
Please join our friends in Boise at the Bardenay on June 17th from 5-9pm for dinner and drinks to help support the Boiseko Ikastola. Ikastola friends and family will be there to explain more about the only Basque language immersion preschool in the states. For more information, click here.
NABO Mus Finals
This Saturday, June 15th, 42 Mus teams will gather at the Carson Valley Inn in Gardnerville to compete in this year’s NABO Mus Finals. Teams representing the 41 NABO member clubs will vie for the top spot, and an opportunity to compete in the International Mus Tournament in Cusco Peru in October. Last year’s winners, representing the Mendiko Euskaldun Cluba, Aitor Berrueta and Philippe Elicagaray, represented NABO in Valdivia, Chile where they took third place. Sorte on deneri!
2023 NABO Finals
Udaleku 2024
This year’s NABO Udaleku, hosted by the Bay Area Basque organizations, will begin this Sunday, June 16th and run through July 28th. Returning to the traditional two-week format, ninety-four campers will participate to learn more about their Basque heritage. This year’s theme is Iparralde, with a special focus on music, played on both traditional and non-traditional Basque instruments. Patrik Larralde from Donibane Garazi is both a dance teacher and a renowned musician, and so he has offered to teach music as well, providing a wonderful opportunity for this year’s campers. Most camp activities will take place at the Basque Cultural Center, but will also include outings to San Francsico and Coyote Point in San Mateo, promising to be an unforgettable experience for all involved. Camp will conclude on June 28th with a final performance, allowing everyone to show off what they have learned over the two weeks. For more information, click here.
Nevada Basque Adventure Challenge
