Gardnerville Mus Tournament Results
Last Saturday, the Mendiko Euskaldun Cluba held its annual Mus Tournament. As noted by one participant, “the Super Bowl of Mus” brought together fifty-five teams at the Carson Valley Inn to play. At the end of the day, three teams advanced to represent the club at the NABO Mus finals in June. First place went to father-daughter team, Miguel and Bernadette Leonis Fritsen, second place went to brothers-in-law Jean Luc Chiramberro, and Philip Elicagaray, and third place went to Daniel Jaureguy and John Lahargou. Zorionak to all of the winners as well as to the club members who made it all possible!
Raise a Glass and Raise Money for Oinkari Dancers
The Oinkari Basque Dancers have been chosen as the beneficiary of Payette Brewing Kegs 4 Kause program, this Monday March 25th. In an effort to give back to the community, the Payette Brewing Kegs 4 Kause donates half of its beer sales to selected non-profits every Monday from 6:00-10:00pm. This coming Monday, the Oinkaris are the lucky ones, so gather your friends and stop by for a beer to support the brewery and in turn the Oinkaris.
