Zea Mays In San Francisco and Boise
The Basque Cultural Center and Boise Euzkaldunak are excited to present Zea Mays, one of the Basque Country’s most accomplished and celebrated rock bands. The band will be playing three special concerts at the San Francisco Basque Cultural Center on Friday, March 22nd, and in Boise as part of the TreeFort Music Festival, on Saturday, March 23rd at the Basque Center, and on Sunday, March 24th at Boise Brewing. BEO 2024 Basque Film Series
The Basque Educational Organization (BEO) 2024 Basque Film Series has officially been announced. Thanks to BEO's partner, the Basque Cultural Center, films are screened throughout the year in person for free. There are multiple ways to stay in the loop with film showing dates, times, and meal offerings including on Facebook and Instagram. To check out all of the films, go to the BEO's webpage and enjoy the trailers of those that pique your interest. Sagar Handia Fest in the Big Apple
Please join the Euzko Etxea of New York for its first annual Sagar Handia Fest, in collaboration with students from the University of Mondragon. This festival is to celebrate the recent opening of cider season in the Basque Country, by extending the tradition to the streets of New York. The day will include two sessions on Sunday March 17th at the Euzko Etxea. The first pass is from 11:00am-2:00pm and the second will run from 4:00pm-7:00pm. Basque Government Grant Justifications Due Soon
If your club has received a 2023 Basque Government Grant, please remember the deadline to justify it is March 31st. Justification of monies received can be done from here, by logging in to your club’s account.
Kinsman Foundation Funds Ontario, Oregon Basque Club Project
On behalf of everyone at NABO, we would like to congratulate the Ontario Basque Club on being awarded a generous grant from the Kinsman Foundation. These funds will be used to replace the flooring at the Ontario Train Depot that also serves as the club’s headquarters for meetings and events. Zorionak deneri!
