Ateak Ireki 2024

Ateak IrekiWe are very excited to announce that Ateak Ireki, the program created for youth between the ages of 16-25 is coming back this year for its second edition. This three-week program, June 22-July 14, 2024, not only allows participants to learn more about their Basque culture, but also allows them to attend weekly Euskara immersion classes at Maizpide Barnetegi. Participants will stay with host families in Goierri, Gipuzkoa and the program includes visits and events to Bizkaia, Araba, Nafarroa and Iparralde. Thanks to the generosity of program sponsors, there is no fee to participate in Ateak Ireki 2024. Selected participants are only required to cover their roundtrip travel to the Basque Country, as well as health insurance. Registration for this year’s program will run January 15-March 5th. NABO Ateak Ireki Coordinator, Argia Beristain, is happy to answer any questions you may have. Please email her at argiaberistain@gmail.com. For more information, to read about last year’s program, or to register, click here. Don’t miss out on this unique opportunity!
