Ateak Ireki

The first annual, we hope, Ateak Ireki Program, ended this week. Thirty-seven youth from all over the United States spent three weeks in the Basque Country, hosted by families in Goierri Gipuzkoa, learning more about their Basque heritage as well as the Basque language.  Over the three weeks, they traveled throughout the Basque Country and were able to participate in a myriad of activities, and festivals. We hope to share testimonials from some of the participants in the coming weeks, but in the meantime, please enjoy this video of the farewell party in Beasain, Gipuzkoa
