Pintxo-Pote at Euzko Etxea of New York
Please join the Euzko Etxea of New York and the Delegation of the Basque Country in the US for a “Pintxo-Pote,” on June 4th at 7:30pm. This is a gathering for Basque friends and families to kick off the summer, as well as provide an opportunity to meet new members of the Basque community. Ontario Basque Club to Participate in America's Global Village
Ontario, Oregon Basque Club will once again participate in America's Global Village Multicultural Festival on Saturday, June 4th. This will be the twentieth year that the club has shared Basque food and culture at this event. The Basque village menu will feature txorizo sandwiches, pintxos, and paella. Cultural exhibits will be on display to educate curious guests. There will be activities for children and club members will be on hand to stamp their passports and answer questions about Basque culture. The event starts at 11:00am and runs until 4:00pm at Lions Park in Ontario. There will be entertainment throughout the day on the stage and a variety of ethnic foods and crafts for sale. The Scottish Highland Games will also take place at the festival. Other cultures represented will include Africa, Ireland, Japan, Mexico, Native American, Scotland, and American Pioneer.
Learn Festival Dances with Txoko Ona
Basque festival season is coming up. On Wednesday, June 8, you can learn the most popular festival dances so you will feel confident dancing with friends and family all summer long. This free event is open to adults, children ages 5 and older, Basques, and Basques-at-heart. The event is scheduled from 6:30 to 8:00pm at the Txoko Ona Basque Center in Homedale, Idaho. No RSVP is necessary.
