Basque Museum School Tour and Virtual Dance Class

Basque MuseumDuring a normal year, the Basque Museum and Cultural Center in Boise would receive several groups of school students and their teachers interested in learning more about the Basques on a fieldtrip.  This year, however, that is impossible, but in an effort to still provide the service to the community, Kylie Bermensolo the Museum’s Education Programs Specialist, has created this video to provide school students, as well as any other interested individuals, an introduction to the Basque Country, its culture, language, and its presence and history in the Boise area.  To enjoy the video in its entirety, click here or view below. Also in an effort to continue to engage the public and provide meaningful events, albeit virtual, the Museum also invites you to attend a Virtual Dance Class on February 20th from 11:00-1pm (MST).  This particular class will focus on the Jota and will be taught by the AIKO Dantza Eskola who has been working hard to provide online content during the pandemic.  Registration is required to participate in the class, which is also available online here. On Egin! (Enjoy!)
