NABO Fimategi Film of the Month: Un otoño sin Berlín

The first film to be featured in the NABO Filmategia in 2021 is Un otoño sin Berlín (An Autumn Without Berlin), directed by Lara Izagirre. This film tells the story of June who returns to her hometown by surprise after begin abroad.  The return was not as joyful as she would have hoped, but “just like the autumn wind, June will take the place by the storm.” The film’s director, Izagirre, founded the Gariza Produkzioak production company where she has written, directed and produced several films.  This film was also selected in the 63rd edition of the San Sebastian Film Festival in 2015. New NABO Contemporary Playlist on Spotify

SpotifyThis week, NABO’s Music Director, Mikaela Goicoechea, in collaboration with Madalen Bieter from Boiseko Taupa da, a Basque radio program that airs on Boise State University’s Pulse Radio, have compiled a new Spotify playlist for your pleasure.  This one includes a sampler of contemporary Basque music from multiple genres (pop, rock, hip-hop, electronic, etc.).  On egin!


Winter NABO Meeting

MeetingAs previously reported, the NABO Winter meeting, originally scheduled for this Saturday, January 30th in Salt Lake City hosted by the Basque Club of Utah, had to be canceled due to the Coronavirus.  Instead, NABO’s board of directors and officers will meet virtually on March 13th via Zoom.  Meeting documents and updates will be provided closer to the date, however If you have any questions regarding meeting access, or if you would like to attend as a guest, please email NABO President Philippe Acheritogaray.
