Arborglyph Exhibit in Placerville
The Arts & Culture El Dorado is pleased to announce “Marking their Trail: Basque Arborglyphs in the Sierra Nevada,” an exhibit that is open to the public from July 22-Septebmer 19, 2021 in Placerville, California. The exhibit features the work of Jean and Philip Earl in a celebration of “the unique history of immigration in the American West and a diasporic culture, who, in navigating new terrain, created a unique visual language using the landscape itself as a means of expression.” Jean Earl will also give a talk on her work on Thursday, September 2nd. Gooding Basque Association Dinners Resume
This Friday, the Gooding Basque Association will hold a “soft opening” for its First Friday Dinners from 6pm-8pm.
