Euzkaldunak Monthly Dinner Hosted by Oinkari
This month’s dinner at Euzkaldunak Boise’s Basque Center is being hosted by the Oinkari Basque Dancers, and will also include Bingo. Doors open at 6pm with a buffet-style dinner served at 6:30pm including tossed salad, Alaskan Cod with lemon and butter, Basque pork chops with pimientos, Paella rice, desserts, homemade bread, wine and coffee. Cost of the meal follows: Senior Members (65 and older) $14.00; Members $15.00; Guests $20.00; Children (10 and under) $ 5.00. To RSVP email dinner@basquecenter.com, or call 208-572-0604. Ontario's 73rd Annual Benefit Dance and Dinner
The Ontario Basque Club will host its 73rd annual Benefit Dinner Auction and Dance on Saturday, February 29th at the Four Rivers Cultural Center. The event will begin at 5:30pm with dinner served at 6pm. After dinner, enjoy a performance by the Beti Alai Dancers that will be followed by the Live Lamb Auction at 8pm. The evening will then conclude with a dance to music provided by the Kalimotxo Cowboys. Dinner tickets are pre-sold and must be reserved by Monday, Februry 24th. These can be purchased online via Paypal or by calling (208) 953-1735. Dance-only tickets may be purchased at the door with admission after 7:30pm. Basque Exhibit at Humboldt Museum
The Humboldt Museum in Winnemucca, Nevada in collaboration with the local Euskaldunak Danak Bat Basque Club is proud to announce the opening of a Basque exhibit this Saturday, February 22, 2020 from 2pm-4pm. The exhibit, made possible in part thanks to support from the Nevada Humanities Council as well as the National Endowment for the Humanities, provides information about the Basque presence in Nevada. Traditional Basque Chorizo and wine will be served, and attendees will also be treated to traditional Basque music performed by Mercedes Mendive. For complete information, please visit their website.
