San Tomas Eguna in New York
Everyone is invited to join the Eusko Etxea of New York to celebrate the 8th edition of “San Tomas Eguna” on Saturday December 14th. The event will begin at 5:00 pm with kid’s games until 6:30 pm when the Olentzero will make a visit with presents for all the children.
Parents please bring gifts wrapped with the child’s name clearly identified. There will also be pintxos for purchase. Come celebrate San Tomas Eguna and the club’s 2019 Christmas party! For more information, visit their website.
Pintxo Pote in New England
Join the New England Basque Club on Sunday, December 14th for a Pintxo Pote to get together, speak and/or practice Euskera, and have a good time. The event will begin at 1pm at the Union Oyster House in Boston with Basque mussels and international wines. The next stop will be The Gingerman for some local cider and “Iparraldeko” poutine. Everyone attending will chip in $25-$30 (depending on how many attend). Pintxos and sagardoa will be provided but please bring something to share. Last Stop for Zoe Bray Exhibit
The last stop for the exhibit “Face to Face/Bekoz beko: Portraits of Basques in the American West” by Zoe Bray, will be at city hall in Donibane Garazi (St. Jean Pied de Port). The exhibit will open on December 11th and will be available through January 10, 2020, Monday-Friday from 8:30-12:00pm and again from 2pm-5:30. It will be closed on Christmas and New Year’s Day.
