Memorial Mass and Lunch in Chino
The Chino Basque Club will celebrate its annual Memorial Mass and Club Lunch this Sunday, November 24th. Mass will begin at 10am at the clubhouse, followed by an aperitif and lunch that includes Tripota and Chicken. Cost of the meal is $25 for adults and $10 for children. Benefit for Chris Ourtiague
We heard from the San Francisco Basque Cultural Center about a benefit this weekend for Chris Ourtiague who has been fighting ALS for several years. The benefit is a fundraiser to relieve some of the stress of medical bills, home modifications, and additional care costs. The event will begin at 7pm at St. Gabriel's Bedford Hall, and will include music provided by Sean Kelly & the Heartthrobs, and a silent auction. Pilartxo Lizeaga (1932-2019) Goian Bego
This week we were very saddened to hear of the passing of Pilartxo Lizeaga, Joseba Etxarri’s mother. She died at home at the age of 87, surrounded by her loving family after battling Alzheimer’s for nearly 15 years. She was able to spend her time at home thanks to the loving care of her children and other family members. On behalf of everyone at NABO, we would like to extend our most sincere condolences to Joseba, and his siblings. Goian Bego.
