Dantza Film Tour

The film Dantza by Telmo Esnal will be touring several NABO clubs and entities in the coming weeks.  The film explores universal themes and reveals a hypnotic universe of traditional dance. It is a "poetic song to tradition, the land, its people, myths and customs. A tale about the miracle of existence.” Telmo Esnal, the film’s director, will attend these screenings accompanied by one of the actors in the film, dance master Gari Otamendi. Some screenings will also have the added luxury of another of the film’s actors, Jexux Larrea, who will also attend.  Both Larrea and Otamendi are well known in our Basque community.  Both have taught dance at various Udalekus, and more recently, Gari has toured some of our clubs as part of his music group “Errebal.”  A list of tour dates and times follow.  For complete information on the film, or to watch a trailer, click here, you can also email Filmategi@NABasque.org.
