80s Theme Monthly Dinner in Chino

ChinoThis Saturday, May 20th, the Chino Basque Club will celebrate the 1980s at its monthly dinner. The event begins at 6pm and everyone is encouraged to bring along their favorite 80s play list, personal photos, as well as club photos from that decade. Los Banos Basque Picnic

Los BanosThe Los Banos Basque Club will host its 53rd annual Basque Picnic on Sunday, May 21st at Los Banos Fairgrounds (4th and F Streets). Festivities will begin at 10am in O'Bannion Hall with mass. Following mass, lunch will be served from 12:30-2pm and will include BBQ lamb, lamb stew, Basque beans, salad and wine. Cost of the meal for members is $16 for adults and $6 for children between the ages of 12-17. Non-members pay $22 for adults and $12 for children. Gateau Basque will also be available for purchase before lunch at the food booth. The day will continue with dance performances and live music for all to enjoy. New England Jai-Aldi

New EnglandThe New England Basque Club will host its annual Jai-Aldi this Saturday, May 20th at Riki Lasa's farm (426 South Grand Street, Suffield CT 06093). The day will begin at 11am and will include a memorial in honor of the club's deceased members, an exhibition of Basque rural sports, a Paella contest as well as a Mus tournament. Dinner will be prepared by club cooks and will include paella, roasted pork, various salads, dessert and coffee. There will also be a cash bar available. Oinkari Sagardotegi Event

SagarraThe Oinkari Basque Dancers annual Sagardotegi event is sold out! This event will take place this Saturday, May 20th at the Basque Center of Boise. The festivities begin at 6pm and includes a traditional Sagardotegi, or cider house dinner prepared by Jesus Alcelay, served by the dancers themselves. Cider for the event is provided by Bereziartua Sagardotegi in Astigarraga, Gipuzkoa. After dinner there will be dancing and music for everyone's enjoyment. Txakolina Fest in Reno

Zazpiak BatCraft Wine & Beer in Reno, Nevada is hosting its annual Txakolina Fest this Sunday, May 21st from 2-6pm. The event will include Txakoli, Cider, as well as Chorizo from Villa Basque Cafe, and entertainment provided by the Zazpiak Bat Basque Dancers. For more information, visit them on Facebook.
