Dance Workshop in Denver

ColoradoThe Colorado Basque Club in Denver, Colorado invites everyone interested to an all-day dance workshop this Saturday April 8th at the St. Vincent de Paul Church (2375 E. Arizona Ave). Antonia and Cirbie Sangroniz, from Salt Lake City's Utah'ko Triskalariak, will be the instructors. The event begins at 10am and will run till 4pm. BEO Film Series

BEOThe Basque Educational Organization, in cooperation with the San Francisco Basque Cultural Center, will be showing Gernika by Koldo Serra, as part of its Basque film series. The film will begin at 7:30pm and admission is free and open to the public. This film tells the story not only of the village of Gernika during the Spanish Civil War, but also that of an American journalist who "secretly joins forces with a local press-office censor to work against the stringent restrictions that are becoming more common." Erramu Eguna in San Francisco

Erramu EgunaBasques in the Bay Area will also be celebrating Erramu Eguna, Palm Sunday this Sunday, April 9th. The day's events will begin with mass at Notre Dame des Victoires with the Elgarrekin Choir and Klika also participating. Mass will be followed by hot chocolate and croissants also at the church. The BCC Women's Club will again sponsor an Easter Egg Hunt for children ages 12 and under. Lunch at the Center will be served at 12:30pm after which the children will enjoy a visit from a surprise guest. For complete details including cost of the meal, see their flier.


New England's Jai-Aldi Celebration

The New England Basque Club invites everyone to save the date for their annual Jai-Aldi Celebration. This year's event will be held on May 20th at Riki Lasa's farm in Connecticut. The day will include Herri Kirolak, a Paella Cook-off, and Mus Tournament. For complete information click here.
