NABO Udaleku
This year's NABO Udaleku, a two-week Basque culture camp for children, will take place from June 21-July 3, 2015 hosted by the San Francisco Basque Cultural Center. Applications for this year's camp will be made available on March 1, 2015 at 6:00pm PST. In hopes of facilitating the application process, as last year, the initial application will be an intent to participate form. Everyone who enrolls within the deadline, and within the club's hosting capacity, will then be contacted to fill in a complete application with full payment of $375 due at that time. Eligible participants will be children between the ages of 10-15 years (must be 10 years old by September 1, 2015 and 15 through August 31, 2015, who are in good standing in a NABO club, and who have health insurance. Begonia Echeverria Book Tour
The Hammer of Witches: a Historical Novel by Dr. Begoña Echeverria is enjoying great success since its publication last August by the Center for Basque Studies, at the University of Nevada Reno. Proof of its impact is the number of Basque clubs that will host Dr. Echeverria on her upcoming book tour beginning on March 7th at the Washington DC Euskal Etxea, and concluding on April 17th in Denver Colorado at the Colorado Euskal Etxea.
