Athletic Wins the Supercopa
Zorionak Athletic on wining the Supercopa! The Supercopa, established in 1982, is a championship between the winners of La Liga and the Copa del Rey. Since 1996, in the event that one team wins both of these, then they compete with the runner-up of the Copa del Rey for the Supercopa. This was the case this summer between Barcelona and Athletic. This is Athletic's second time to win the Supercopa, the last being in 1984. Athletic has had quite a summer! Visit them on Facebook and their website to see how they celebrated!

Are you energized after a full summer of Basque events and feeling super-motivated to get back to learning Basque? If so, Mintzanet might be the way to go. Mintzanet is an online platform that pairs Basque learners, bidelaris, to native speakers, bidelagunas, for conversation practice. It is free and available all over the world.
