The Kern County Basque Club invites everyone to join them this weekend for its 43rd annual Basque Festival, May 23-24th. Festivities will begin on Saturday at 8am with a Mus tournament, followed by pilota matches between local players, lunch and more pilota featuring players from the Basque Country. Sunday will begin with Mass, followed by Herri Kirolak, with participants from the New England Basque Club, lunch, dance and klika performances, more pilota and a dance to the music of Jean Flesher. Sheeped in Nevada

IkerThe Center for Basque Studies is proud to share another article written by ABD Iker Saitua who is currently writing his Ph.D. dissertation at the Center. Iker has taken his research very seriously, and felt that it wouldn't be complete without a stint at sheep camp.
