Living Traditions in Salt Lake City
For another year, the Basque Club of Utah will participate in the Living Traditions Festival on May 15-17 organized by the SLC Art Council. The club is the only food vendor that has participated in this event for 30 years. Their booth will feature croquetas, churros and chorizos and all proceeds go to support club activities. The Utah'ko Triskalariak will also perform on Sunday the 17th at 4:15pm.
Txitxiburduntzi in New England this Weekend
Join the New England Basque Club this Saturday for its Txitxiburduntzi Celebration. The event will take place at Riki Lasa's Farm (426 South Grand Street, Suffield CT 06093) and will begin at noon with a Basque rural sports exhibition. This will be followed by a BBQ featuring a roasted pig prepared by Patxi Gandiaga. Everyone is asked to contribute $10 per person ($5 for children) to help sustain club activities. Basque Country Softball in Canada
The Basque Country Female Softball Selection has been invited to participate in the International Canadian Open Fastpitch tournament in July 3-13, 2015. This is one of the most important events for competitors in this sport. The tournament will take place in Vancouver/South Surrey, Canada and they are looking for members of American Basque clubs who may be interested in playing in the tournament.
