Boise State Seeking Assistant Professsor
Boise State University (BSU) is seeking an Assistant Professor to teach Euskera and/or Basque Studies as part of the Basque Studies program there. The position, with a start date of August 1, 2019, is on a 9-month contract. Requirements are a Ph.D in Basque Studies or related field (ABDs will also be considered), teaching experience in Euskera, and/or undergraduate teaching; English fluency, Euskera and Spanish among other requirements. Iparreko Ibarra Annual Festival
The Iparreko Ibarra Basque Club in Rocklin, CA will host its annual festival this Saturday, October 13, 2018. The day's festivities will begin at 8am with a Mus Tournament. Lunch will be served at noon, with mass following at 1pm. In the afternoon, there will be a weight-carrying competition followed by a BBQ Lam/Chicken dinner and public dance beginning at 7pm. Upcoming Events in Los Banos
Just a reminder that the Los Banos Basque Club is hosting Kantari Eguna in conjunction with the NABO fall meeting, on October 20th, at the Los Banos Fairgrounds Exhibit building starting at 3pm. Come and listen, or come and sing. All are welcome to attend. After Kantari, stay for cocktails beginning at 5:30pm and dinner.
